Jewellery care:

When your jewellery is not being worn ideally you should store it in its box separately so pieces do not tangle or scratch with others. Always apply lotions or sprays first and let it dry before putting on your jewellery. Keep pieces away from chemicals, especially chlorine and if it does come into contact with chemicals rinse it in water immediately. Precious metals are subject to tarnishing over time from oxygen in the air, if not worn regularly or stored properly. This does not damage the metal and can be removed easily with cleaning, it is worth being aware of their care requirements so that they remain in the best condition possible. Please keep your pieces away from direct sunlight, excessive heat or damp conditions. Remember to remove your jewellery before showers, swimming or washing up. When taking part in activities if you are in any doubt you could scratch, knock or damage your jewellery, take it off and keep it safe.

Polished silver

Polished silver has a very shiny finish and will pick up tiny scratches through daily wear, dulling it down. This cannot be avoided but pieces will start to show the story of your life through daily wear. You can easily clean polished silver very gently in some soapy water. If the shine has matted over time use a polishing cloth to buff the piece.

Matt silver

Over time a matt finish may become shiny especially on an area where it regularly comes into contact with other surfaces like a ring band. To restore the matt finish carefully rub the surface with a green scourer either dry or with a little soapy water. Carefully removing any soapy residue off after.

Oxidised silver

Oxidised silver has been treated with a chemical solution to give a grey/black finish. Over time this will wear away in exposed areas adding to the character of the piece. Do not try to clean oxidised silver items in a silver dip or use a polishing cloth as this will remove the oxidisation.

Resin:

Resin jewellery is pretty hard-wearing but to get the best out of your pieces try to avoid bumping, scratching or sleeping in it. Resin is not waterproof, only water resistant. Remember to remove your jewellery before showers, swimming, washing up etc. Keep it out of sunlight, prolonged exposure can cause the resin to discolour. Avoid exposing your resin to harsh chemicals and cleaning products. Please be careful to follow the instructions above to keep it looking its best for as long as possible.

Prints & cards:

Handle prints and cards with care ensuring your hands are clean, dry and free of any products. Even though designs are printed on quality paper and card they can still be damaged easily if care is not taken. Avoid placing prints in direct sunlight as this may cause colours to fade over time.

Coasters:

Coasters have a high gloss melamine finish and should be wiped clean with a damp cloth and left to dry. They are hard wearing with a solid base but a certain level of care is needed as dropping your coaster may cause damage such as chipping on the edges. Do not put them in the dish washer.

Wall art:

Be careful when handling you hoop art making sure you do not push the frames apart or catch the thread. Make sure it is hanging in a dry room free from humidity. Placing you art in direct sunlight may cause colours to fade over time. Do not get it wet, getting it wet/splashed may cause the hand drawn/coloured sections on the fabric to bleed.
